Blanket batts and rolls

The two types are, expanded (EPS) or extruded (XEPS).

A great way to fill the gaps and leaks that can be found on your walls. It is also cheap and accessible to anyone and takes up less space compared to other insulation materials. Once sprayed onto your walls, it will solidify and can be painted on to match your walls.  

Cellulose Insulation 

Usually made up of recycled paper and cardboard, cellulose insulation has a high R-value and it is not that expensive as well. It can also be placed over pre-existing insulation materials to add more protection. You can also install this by yourself so that you will not spend money on installation. 

Radiant Barrier 

This type of insulation is more effective in warmer climates. Radiant barrier or reflective insulation deflects the heat from your home instead of absorbing it. Usually composed of aluminum combined with other materials such as plastic or cardboard. This can also be treated as a DIY job and save you a few hundred dollars.
